Sondra Peron graduated from Northwestern Connecticut Community College in 1991 and 1992, with associate degrees in Fine Arts and Visual Communications. From 1993 to 1995, she took time off from academia to focus on painting. Sondra began her studies at Smith College in the fall of 1995 in philosophy, having already completed the requirements for an art major, and graduated in 1998 as an Ada Comstock Scholar with a bachelor’s degree. In 1999, she returned to her first love, photography, using mostly vintage cameras.

Currently, Sondra lives and works in Northampton, Massachusetts. She is pursuing an MFA in photography at the Maryland College Institute of Art in Baltimore, MD. She works for the Northampton Arts Council as Arts Administrator, is in her fourth year as a teaching assistant in the Art History Department at Smith College and works as a freelance photographer and graphic designer.
